Discover the true meaning of

The county seat of Gilmer County is the city of Glenville, home of the WV State Folk Festival. This festival is held annually in June and features folk music, square dancing and crafts of local artisans. Also located within the city are historic sites such as The Glenville Truss Bridge, The Holt House, Country Store Museum, and the Little Kanawha Valley Bank. The Arbuckle House on 213 High Street, now serves as the Glenville State Alumni Center.

Located in the heart of downtown Glenville is the City Square. The centerpiece of the square is a French Quarter post clock, adjoined by open-air pavilions and an elevated gazebo. The Square is open for public use and various activities are scheduled and conducted year round.
